WNC Nonprofits Show Support for the Launch of a New Certified Nonprofit Professional Program

Several nonprofit managers, leaders and WCU students attended the Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) Open House last Friday, at WCU at Biltmore Park.
“We’re pleased with the turnout and number of questions,” remarked Susan Fouts, EdD, Executive Director of Educational Outreach. During the Open House, Dr. Fouts addressed the group by saying, “WCU heard your request last year. Many of you asked for a national nonprofit certification, and that’s what we’re offering.”
Kevan Frazier, PhD., Executive Director of Biltmore Park highlighted the professional development and Master’s level programs offered at Biltmore Park including the Master’s in Public Affairs (MPA).
Jay Gerlach, Director of the MPA Program will be kicking off the first module of the CNP program on March 10th at Biltmore Park in a one-day workshop called Nonprofit Management: The Basics, which is a workshop anyone can attend for $119. Participants enrolled in the CNP Module 1: Management and Leadership of the Nonprofit Sector will complete 4 additional weeks of on-line curriculum. The cost of the first module is $300. There are 8 modules in the CNP program.
