The Fall Dance Happening, a studio showing of faculty and student in-progress works, will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3 in UNC Asheville’s Sherrill Center Dance Studio 351. This event is free and open to everyone.
In the tradition of experimental dance, the Fall Dance Happening is a low-tech, informal presentation of investigations into choreographic practice and process, curated by UNC Asheville Dance Program Director and Assistant Professor Celia Bambara. “The emphasis is on movement research and sharing in a comfortable setting,” says Bambara.
The Fall Dance Happening will set the stage for two more formal performances of completed and in-progress student and faculty works, Dec. 1-2 at 7 p.m. in Belk Theatre on campus.
