Stacey L. Sparks has joined Mars Hill University as Director, Foundations Engagement and Prospect Research, as of January 6.
Sparks has over 20 years of experience with grant writing and fundraising for nonprofits, locally and nationally. Most recently, she served in various fundraising and grant-writing roles, including director of philanthropic research, for the Mission Healthcare Foundation.
Earlier in her career, she worked as an independent grant-writing consultant, as a grant writer for the City of Orlando, Florida, and as a grant writer and administrator for Threshold, Inc., a provider of services for children and adults with autism and developmental disabilities.

Her research skills are invaluable as we seek to expand our funding sources. She is the consummate professional who will serve Mars Hill well.”
Sparks holds masters degrees in public administration and clinical psychology from the University of Central Florida. Her bachelor’s degree in psychology and business administration came from Jacksonville University.
Sparks lives in Arden with her daughter, Zoey, and her son, Cameron, who is a sophomore at UNC Chapel Hill.
