“Rolling Stone” editor & author of “The Water Will Come” comes to The Collider – Nov. 14th

Across the globe, sea levels are rising, with higher and higher tides pushing more water directly into the places people live. In the wake of recent hurricanes, flooding, and Asheville experiencing its second-wettest October on record, The Collider, a nonprofit innovation center focused on climate, presents a free public event on Nov. 14 related to water and climate change.
WHAT:
“An Evening with Jeff Goodell,” featuring the Rolling Stone contributing editor and author of the new book, “The Water Will Come: Rising Seas, Sinking Cities, and the Remaking of the Civilized World.” In his book (and at this event), Jeff Goodell addresses the coming water, why and how this will happen, what it will all mean — and what needs to be done about it.
Free and open to the public, the event includes a reception sponsored by Climate Optimize and Infrastructure Services Group LLC.

The Collider, located on the top floor of the Wells Fargo building at 1 Haywood St., downtown Asheville. Parking is available in several nearby parking garages.
WHO:
In addition to Goodell, the event will include brief remarks by program sponsor and Collider member Tom Barr, CEO of Climate Optimize LLC and a new company, Infrastructure Services Group LLC. Barr is a veteran transaction- and operations-focused entrepreneur with decades in energy, water, wastewater, infrastructure, and laboratories.
