The TD Charitable Foundation, the charitable giving arm of TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank® has awarded a $5,000 grant to OnTrack WNC Financial Education & Counseling (OnTrack WNC). This grant support is part of the foundation’s commitment to giving back to the community.

For over 40 years, OnTrack WNC has helped people achieve their money and housing goals through financial education, counseling, and support so they can: overcome crises, afford basic needs, improve money management skills, and make sound financial choices rooted in their values.

The funds from the TD Charitable Foundation will support the launch and first year of OnTrack’s NEW comprehensive Homebuyer Program which combines education and counseling to help clients build financial knowledge/tools for budgeting, saving, improving credit, and ultimately buying a home.

“It’s exciting to have the TD Charitable Foundation’s support of our program that will help first-time homebuyers determine affordability, learn about the complexities of purchasing a home, and access important down payment assistance that helps make homeownership sustainable,” said Celeste Collins, Executive Director of OnTrack WNC.

“Purchasing a home can be very intimidating, especially for a first-time home buyer,” said Charles Frederick, Market President, TD Bank. “TD is proud to support an organization that provides people with the tools to properly purchase a house and life-long financial knowledge to help them in the future.”

A staunch commitment to active involvement in the local community is a vital element of the TD Bank philosophy. TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank® and the TD Charitable Foundation provide support to affordable housing, financial literacy and education, and environmental initiatives, many of which focus on improving the welfare of children and families.”
