Old Depot Association is a Black Mountain community-based and volunteer-run nonprofit organization that oversees operation of the Gallery, a showcase for Western North Carolina artists and crafters. It is open each year from April through December. Started in 1976 to protect and maintain the century-old Train Depot, the organization and the festival support the teaching of mountain and heritage crafts and the arts – music, drama, and fine arts – in the Swannanoa Valley schools.
Please call (828) 669-6583 or visit www.olddepot.org for times of the Saturday demonstrations. Old Depot is located at 207 Sutton Avenue at Cherry Street in the heart of historic Black Mountain.
