LS3P’s involvement with the Chamber of Commerce is a testament to the firm’s dedication to community engagement. Having previously worked with the Chamber on designing and building the Visitor Center under the firm’s former name, PFA Architects, LS3P recognizes the immense value of Chamber membership.
“It was during this project I realized just how beneficial it is to be a Chamber member,” says Maggie Carnevale, a key figure at LS3P. “My dedication to the Chamber was renewed further after volunteering in a creative design process for improvements to the Chamber of Commerce for the 125th Anniversary celebration.”

Tell us about your business and the role you play in it.
LS3P is an architecture, interiors, and planning firm celebrating 60 years of design excellence. LS3P operates from its 12 offices in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, providing its clients the expertise and resources of a large firm with the local knowledge and personal connections of a small firm. We are deeply committed to the communities we serve, with over 650 design awards in diverse practice areas. At our core, we are a design firm, dedicated to contributing our best to our projects, our clients, and each other with integrity and passion. We engage people in the process of architecture to create outstanding places to live, work, and play. Our broad range of expertise allows us the ability to create innovative solutions, and to provide expertise to address the complex programs of today’s design projects.
What makes your business unique in its field?
LS3P’s success is rooted in relationships – we value long term partnerships with our employees, clients, and our consultants. We are invested in the communities in which we work and live. From small-scale projects to long-range master plans, we design spaces that serve our clients, their stakeholders, and the wider community.
How many employees do you have? And what qualities do you look for when hiring?
LS3P currently has 471 active employees, which includes a number of summer college intern students whose bright minds contribute to our team’s success. When hiring, we look for motivated, energetic and talented team members who value collaboration and the creative design process. Additionally for the Asheville office, we encourage animal lovers to join our team.
Why did you decide to join the Chamber?
Under our previous firm name, PFA Architects, we were involved with the Chamber of Commerce to design and build their existing Visitor Center. It was during this project I realized just how beneficial it is to be a Chamber member. My dedication to the Chamber was renewed further after volunteering in a creative design process for improvements to the Chamber of Commerce for the 125th Anniversary celebration.
What is your favorite part about doing business in the Asheville area?
My favorite part of doing business in the Asheville area is the people, of course. I love serving the WNC communities because the folks I get to collaborate with are typically energetic, authentic, dedicated and grateful. Who could ask for a better working environment?
