Tell us about your business and the role you play in it.
My business is a travel advisory and concierge. I founded the business in 2014. I am hosted by a very large agency that started in 1969. This gives me buying power and availability to give perks to my clients.
Where did your vision begin? How has it grown?
My passion for travel formed my vision. I spent 25 years in the finance field and decided to change paths. I absolutely love planning travel for clients and feel like I’m going with them on their trips!
Who are your key partners?
My key partners are the best travel companies in the world – hotels, tour companies, airlines, cruise ships, etc. They know my company and work closely with me to provide my clients with the best value and best experience possible.
What has been your greatest challenge? Your greatest victory?
My greatest challenge is educating potential clients on the benefits of using a travel advisor. Online booking is wonderful but research shows that the average consumer looks at 38 web sites before booking. And then if there is a problem, like Covid cancellations, you could be on an 800 phone call for hours trying to resolve your problem. Travel advisors are your advocates and we handle all problems. I am available 24/7 for my clients before, during and after their travels.
My greatest victory is when my clients return and tell me that my planned trip was the trip of a lifetime. My goal is to achieve this every time they travel. I want to create memories, which are proving to be a very valuable asset!
What does the word “community” mean to you?
Community is a group of people or businesses who support each other. This may be supporting each other’s businesses or helping to improve our community.
