Karen Kennedy demonstrates needle-felting fall pumpkins at Grovewood Gallery in October

Asheville artist Karen Kennedy will be at Grovewood Gallery every Tuesday in October from 11am – 4pm, creating needle-felted fall pumpkins using locally dyed wool. Kennedy is a graduate of Haywood Community College’s Professional Crafts Program who enjoys weaving, dying and felting for “pleasure and profit.”
She says, “Little bits of nature are always my inspiration, and I love translating what I see into a fiber piece of some kind…this time it’s pumpkins.”
These cute creations are crafted in a variety of sizes and will be available for sale during her demonstration ($15 – $30).
