Homeward Bound of WNC, a nonprofit based in Buncombe and Henderson counties is pleased to announce that the Wells Fargo Foundation has granted Homeward Bound $25,000 to be used in ending homelessness in Buncombe and Henderson Counties.
The funds will be used in our Rapid Re-Housing program, a program that is designed to move people who have fallen into homelessness back into permanent housing as rapidly as possible.
Jenny Simmons, Director of Grants Management, says “We are grateful to the Wells Fargo Foundation for their partnership with Homeward Bound in ending homelessness. This generous grant will support our Rapid Re-Housing program, providing housing and supportive services to the majority of the population we serve for an average of 6 to 8 months, allowing individuals and families to then sustain in housing on their own.”
In 2015, Homeward Bound moved 352 people out of homelessness in Buncombe and Henderson Counties. You can learn more at www.homewardboundwnc.org.
