Job Title: Composites Technician
Essential Duties:
• Read Engineering drawings and follow written instructions
• Work independently and as a team; multitask and adapt to schedule changes
• Use proper PPE and follow safety practices
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Use basic hand tools
• Use and understand weights and scales
• Follow mixing instructions for resins and chemicals
• Understand metric measurements and conversions
• Good organizational skills including 5S and related house-keeping
Education/Experience:
• Prior experience in manufacturing environment and/or Composites Fabrication
• Able to understand and comply with engineering specifications
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Wear required respirator and other protective gear
• Able to distinguish colors
• Ability to bend, kneel and reach as needed
Work Environment:
• Manufacturing plant involving exposure to carbon and fiberglass fabrics, Vinyl ester and epoxy resins, sanding and grinding dust and noise.
