While any Saturday at a brewery involves pints and camaraderie, the addition of glow swag and body paint launches one upcoming night into a new category. On July 8, participants in the fourth annual Night Flight race will run 4.5 miles, then cool off with a pint and gear up for a glowing evening.
Beyond the beer and the fun, Night Flight is a race with a difference –100% of profits are donated to Asheville Parks and Greenways Foundation. So far, this race has donated just shy of $30,000 to the APGF. The combination of funds and awareness, and partnership with city, got the East Asheville greenway on a bond referendum. It passed! The East Asheville greenway will be built in 5-7 years. Highland continues their efforts for a connected city with this annual fundraiser.
Night Flight begins at 8pm on July 8. Registration is $38 and includes timed race, t-shirt, one beer ticket for runners 21+ years of age, and glow items.
