Listen to This: Stories in Performance, a monthly storytelling series hosted by local actor/comedian Tom Chalmers, ends its fourth season with a brand new slate of true stories on August 28, 2014. A storytelling format in the vein of “The Moth” or “This American Life,” Listen to This has become one of Asheville’s most popular monthly series. Each month, Tom Chalmers picks a topic and presents a lineup of locals, all sharing stories or songs on that central theme. Some are funny, some are surprising, and some are frightening – but all are enormously entertaining. On Thursday, August 28, 2014 Chalmers will host David v. Goliath: True Tales of Taking on City Hall. Curtain is at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $10.00 and are available online, by phone, or at the ACT Box Office.
