As technologies have advanced, photographers have changed the way they create images. On May 1 at 5:30 p.m., visitors to the Asheville Art Museum have the unique opportunity to hear from experts about the pros and cons of the various methods.
The Museum is excited to welcome local photographers Rob Amberg, Tim Barnwell, Erin Brethauer, Ralph Burns and Dana Moore to participate in Darkroom or Digital?, a panel discussion focusing on the changes in photographic processes from film to digital. The panelists will specifically address how they have coped with these changes, why they have chosen their own particular methods of creating images, and how they’ve incorporated various methods it into their process. Dana Moore will moderate this discussion.
This discussion is held in conjunction with Ralph Burns: A Persistence of Vision – Photographs 1972-2013.
