Daoist Traditions College announces new professional doctorate program

Daoist Traditions College will commence a new Professional Doctorate Program in October 2017. 

Daoist traditions began in 2003 and has become a leader in the education of classically trained acupuncturists. Until now graduates of Daoist Traditions have been awarded Master’s degrees in Oriental Medicine (MAOM). The college has a clinic offering low-cost acupuncture treatments to the Asheville community.

Daoist Traditions is one of only nine colleges currently offering an entry-level professional doctorate program.  Daoist Traditions is at the forefront of the profession, able to offer students access to the new Doctoral Degree

The Doctoral Program will have an emphasis on patient-centered care as part of an interdisciplinary team of practitioners. Students will focus on the integration of Chinese medicine and biomedical research, theory, and evidence-informed practice. The program will also include a collaborative care internship in a clinical setting.
