ActionCOACH Business Growth Partners is gearing up for the upcoming Asheville Business Summit, which will happen later this month. The summit has become a significant event since its inception in 2022, reflecting ActionCOACH’s mission to educate and inspire business owners and teams. Set for August 18-20, the summit promises to be a grand celebration of the Western North Carolina business community, featuring events such as a public kickoff party, a VIP dinner, and a main event packed with networking opportunities, a sponsor expo, breakfast, and world-class speakers.
Beth Lemmel, the Community Relations Manager at ActionCOACH Business Growth Partners, believes that the local business community, known for its creativity, cooperation, and family-owned enterprises, is a vital part of Asheville’s charm. By bringing together entrepreneurs, sales teams, and CEOs, the event fosters a spirit of collaboration and mutual growth, ensuring that attendees leave with new ideas and connections.

Tell us about The Asheville Business Summit and the role you play in it.
The Asheville Business Summit is being presented by ActionCOACH Business Growth Partners, where I am the Community Relations Manager. We strive to educate and inspire business owners and teams so that they are setting goals and creating systems that impact their businesses. The Asheville Business Summit is going to be amazing! Its a 3-day celebration of the WNC business community. Day one is free and open to the public – a kickoff party and networking event at The Mule on Sunday August 18th from 4-7pm. Day two is a VIP Dinner in downtown Asheville – a ticketed event intended for high-performing business owners, with entertainment and speakers. Day three is the Main Event! It is a ticketed event for people at all levels of business, whether you are a budding entrepreneur, sales team, or CEO of a large company. The Main Event will have a sponsor expo, breakfast, and world-class speakers at the brand new Embassy Suites. You’ll want to be in this room on August 20th from 7:30am until about noon.
I think when people consider what makes Asheville such a unique place to live and visit, topics like art and music and our beautiful mountains come to mind. WNC is thriving with independently owned and operated businesses that are cooperative, family-owned, solving problems creatively. It is unique in the world, and we have so much to learn from one another when we connect. That’s what the Asheville Business Summit is about. It aims to celebrate the incredible humans that run the businesses that we love. And it aims to educate and inspire all of us. We may have a little fun too 🙂
Where did your vision begin? How has it grown?
We first held The Asheville Business Summit in October of 2022 and the vision was to bring together a group of business owners who had been physically separated by the pandemic. It was a lot of fun and we had a great crowd.
What made you choose the Asheville area?
I don’t take for granted for a second that the vibe of Asheville is created in part by our business community. I’ve always thought of business owners as sort of rock stars! I’m in awe of the individuals that keep the town running with goods and services that we need and do it thoughtfully, responsibly, and cooperatively.
Who are your key partners?
We have partnered with 21 businesses and organizations to bring The Asheville Business Summit to life. Presenting sponsor Valor Private Wealth has been a key partner in making it happen. We are also partnering with the Asheville Chamber which has been a lot of fun! You’ll meet them all at the Main Event, such as Uptalent Consulting, Semper Fi Custom Remodeling, Fisher Creative, Printville, among others. There will be lots a talent and energy in the room on August 20th.
What is a little-known fact about your organization?
We believe in abundance and in helping anyone. Our coaches will talk with anyone who wants to improve their business and offer advice for free. It’s called a Strategy Session.
Is there anything else you’d like to share about your business?
The Asheville Business Summit has grown, and we hope to bring it to the WNC business community year after year.
