Asheville Community Theatre is launching two 7-week sessions of online improv classes for youth beginning Monday, September 14, 2020. The classes are taught by Chris Martin, who has been teaching improv and theatre to children in Asheville for years. ACT is excited to offer these flexible online versions of class that are accessible to youth across our region who may not have been able to travel into Asheville for an afterschool class. Following Governor Roy Cooper’s Phase 2.5 announcement allowing museums to open at up to 50% capacity, the Asheville Art Museum is scheduled to reopen to Museum members September 9 through 11, and to the public beginning September 12. The museum has instituted health and safety precautions including required face coverings, and timed tickets are required for entry which will be available beginning at 5pm on Friday, September 4 at ashevilleart.org.
