Tell us about your business and the role you play in it.
GIS Global Construction is a small family-owned licensed business that has been around for 30 years. We provide exceptional construction and remodeling services tailored to your unique needs. With a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Our main goal is to help grow our community infrastructure and personal homes.
Where did your vision begin? How has it grown?
GIS Global Construction started out as a group of subcontractors. We had a vision as a family to become licensed contractors in highway, commercial, utility, and residential construction. And today, we have reached those goals.
What made you choose the Asheville area?
Our family has always lived in Asheville. Some came from Ukraine, straight to Asheville, and some were born here.
Who are your key partners?
I believe family is the key to not only partners but to everything else. Family is always by your side and dependable.
What has been your greatest challenge? Your greatest victory?
Our greatest challenge was starting this business because it was smaller than it is now. And our greatest victory is today because each day we are growing and getting better.
What is a little-known fact about your organization?
At the end of every project, we have a little celebration. We, as a family, go out to eat somewhere nice every time we finish a project, no matter the size.
If you had to give one piece of advice to someone just starting out in your field, what would it be?
To keep on going and pushing through the rough patches, whether financial or mental. These are just the things small business owners have to go through.
What does the word “community” mean to you?
Community is a term that I like a lot. Community means family. when people come together and work on something together, I think of them as a family. We get together and complete a main goal. Thatís what community means to me and that is how GIS Global construction runs as well.
