Brother Wolf holds adoption event at Gerber Village – Sept. 20

September 16, 2014

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, Western North Carolina’s largest animal rescue program, will hold a Pet Adoption Day in South Asheville’s Gerber Village on Saturday, September 20, 2014, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.  Animals will be available for adoption, and the event is free and open to the public. Individuals and businesses are encouraged to bring donations of pet food and pet toys or to make a tax-deductible contribution to Brother Wolf.

“We are excited to be able to partner with such an important organization,” said Gerber Village owner Lizzie Vann. “Brother Wolf does so much good with the help of our community, and we’re honored to support their work in this way.”

Since its founding in 2007, Brother Wolf has served the greater Asheville community with a wide range of animal friendly events, resources and programs centered around their “no kill” mission. Through the organization’s animal shelter, foster program, adoption center, retail store and thrift shop, they continue to give back to abandoned animals in our surrounding cities—along with their many supporters and volunteers.

More information on Brother Wolf can be found at BWAR.org or by calling 828-505-3440. Tax-deductible donations may be made online at www.bward.org/donate, or by mail to P.O. Box 8195, Asheville, NC, 28814.
