Blue Moon Water is committed to customers and community

Since 2006, Blue Moon Water has been providing local businesses and homes with the finest spring water and outstanding customer service. Their local mountain spring water is available in 3-gallon or 5-gallon jugs and in four different individual bottle sizes.

Owned by sustainable building consultant Chris Mathis, Blue Moon Water says customer satisfaction and serving the community in an environmentally friendly way are very important to them.

What is your company vision?

It is the mission of Blue Moon Water to:

• Enhance public awareness and appreciation of the health-giving and healing powers of pure local spring water from the mountains of Western North Carolina.
• Transport our water as efficiently and over the shortest distances possible, reducing the effects of carbon emissions that contribute to the global climate crisis.
• Promote the protection of mountaintop natural springs from inappropriate development practices.
• Continue to support and seek out sustainable solutions to providing clean, living water in the U.S. and across the planet.

What is your companies’ relationship with the community?

We, and the planet that supports us, are mostly water. We owe ourselves, those elements and the individuals in our community a kind thought and an intention of love and gratitude. We, at Blue Moon Water, honor these precepts with the understanding that when respect is given, it is reflected and returned many times over. Blue Moon Water enjoys our partnership with many of the local non-profits, associations and businesses that are giving back to our community and helping to improve health and environmental awareness.

What do you enjoy best about working in your industry?

Spring Water in North Carolina is ground water that freely flows to the earth’s surface without mechanical aid. As members of the NC Spring Water Association, we proudly display the NC Gold Seal certifying that our source has met the strict guidelines set forth by the state of NC and the NC Spring Water Association. Once a natural spring has passed all state and federal rules, it can be bottled and sold. When we say we offer the finest spring water, we can back it up.

What experience do you strive to create for your customers?

Blue Moon Water offers the finest customer service. We care about bringing our customers the highest quality local spring water with a simple and easy-to-follow delivery schedule. Our rental coolers are well-maintained and cleaned on a regular basis, giving our customers the confidence that the water “in the jug” will be just as pure as the water “in the glass.” Small-town service with a smile, Blue Moon Water takes every customer call seriously and will offer solutions quickly and pleasantly.
