We’re super excited to add another member to our growing team of business professionals. For this new position, we are seeking a dynamic, high-energy and self-motivated individual. Primary responsibilities include new membership sales, existing membership renewals and sponsorship sales as directed by the Vice President of Member Services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highly motivated individual with B2B sales experience
- Demonstrated excellence in relationship building and relationship sales
- Thorough knowledge of the Asheville business community and Chamber
- Ability to set and meet goals
- Excellent selling and closing skills
- Ability to develop prospect pipeline and to progress the sales process with many prospects concurrently
- Excellent networking and follow-up skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of flexibility, creativity, resilience and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in computer software, Microsoft Office suite and CRM database software
- Ownership of a dependable vehicle and valid driver license
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Identify prospective Chamber members and implement individualized sales plan for each lead
- Develop thorough understanding of Chamber membership levels and benefits and assist Chamber members in taking full advantage of their membership
- Accomplish weekly, monthly and annual goals: sales, member visits, calls, emails and conversations
- Supervise Business Development Specialist
- Regularly participate in Chamber meetings, events and activities
- Independently manage book of business, as assigned and developed
- As the face of the Chamber to many individuals and businesses, represent the Chamber positively and professionally in all situations and interactions
- Achieve and exceed revenue goals
- Collaborate with Member Services department and all Chamber employees as appropriate to ensure overall Chamber success
- Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Member Services and CEO
