Announcing the 2020 Venture 15 and Venture Asheville Honors

On Thursday, December 17th, members of the Asheville startup community gathered virtually for the third annual Venture 15 Awards and Asheville Honors.
MC’d by Jeff Kaplan, Director of Entrepreneurship for Venture Asheville, this year’s program was a mix between an awards show, variety show, college improv group sketch comedy show, and State of the Union (with more standing ovations).
To be eligible for the Venture 15, startups (companies, corporations, partnerships, sole proprietorships) must meet the following criteria:
- Have been in business for two years or more as of October 1, 2020, and
- Have had verifiable annual revenues of $150,000 or more every year since calendar year in 2018, or for the past two full fiscal years
- Founders or company owners must operate businesses in either Buncombe or Haywood Counties
Venture Asheville Honors recognize individuals or companies that demonstrate high impact and going above-and-beyond what is expected.
