The American Advertising Federation Asheville (AAFA) invites everyone in the marketing, advertising, and public relations industry of Western North Carolina to celebrate the club’s annual kickoff party for the 2016-2017 year. Attendees will receive one complimentary beer, networking opportunities with industry professionals, and a chance to hear about what the new board has “brewing” for the community and its club members. The kickoff party will be held at one of Asheville’s newest hotspots, New Belgium Asheville, in the Liquid Center Tasting Room.
The event will be part party, part chapter business, providing the community with the perfect opportunity to visualize the club as a whole. Committee chairs will be on hand, providing details about the club’s community service initiatives, student education program, the American Advertising Awards, and all of our club programs. Applications for renewals as well as new membership will also be available.
“Joining AAFA is a great opportunity to network with yours peers and become involved with the local advertising community,” says Co-President Aimee Burns, producer and editor at Rock-Creek Productions, a full-service media production company located in Asheville. As Asheville continues to dominate as one of the premier destinations for small and medium‐sized businesses across the country, the face of the AAFA needs to play a vital role in that growth.
The American Advertising Federation is the voice for the advertising industry, comprising more than 210 affiliates nationwide. Participation locally gives Asheville marketers the chance to compete with the big dogs in the national American Advertising Awards competition, formerly known as the ADDYs. Members also get a chance to participate in national conferences and tap into a huge network of advertising professionals.
