First Aid Auto celebrated the opening of its environmentally friendly Auto Body Repair shop at 369 Rockwood Rd with a ribbon cutting ceremony July 15. This is a family based business that has been servicing 25 car dealerships locally for twenty years; the company is excited to be extending its services to the entire community.

Lone Star Steakhouse celebrated the opening of its newest location at 341 Rockwood Rd off of I-26 and Exit 40 (next to Target) with a Ribbon Cutting ceremony on June 30th. All proceeds from the Grand Opening benefited the Mountain Area Child and Family Center. The new Arden store will replace the 17 Tunnel Road location in Asheville.

Asheville City Market, downtown on South Charlotte Street, celebrates a growing market with over 45 vendors offering fresh-from-the-farm produce, delicious meats and cheeses, local eggs, baked breads and treats, natural body care soaps and lotions, as well as mountain arts and crafts.

Cornerstone Physical Therapy announced its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 26. Cornerstone PT is a manual therapy based facility providing one on one care for the individual needs of the patient. They are located off of Long Shoals Road minutes from Interstate 26 and Hendersonville Road.

Kilwin's Chocolates, Fudge and Ice Cream celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 21. The company mascot, Kilwin's the Moose, was in attendance handing out balloons to the kids. Kilwin's offers quality confections in a friendly atmosphere in the heart of downtown Asheville on Battery Park Avenue.

On June 20 the Grove Park Inn Resort and Spa celebrated the opening of four new boutique shops in the Vanderbilt wing of the historical hotel. The shops feature a full line of Grove Park Inn merchandise including clothing, souvenirs, cooking products and holiday items. The shops are open to the public seven days a week.

The Southern Community Bank and Trust broke ground on its new Asheville regional branch on June 11. The new branch will be located on Hendersonville Road just south of the entrance to the Asheville Racquet Club.

Covenant Advisory Group celebrated the grand opening of their Arden office with a Ribbon Cutting on June 10. Professional services offered by the group include Investments, Insurance, Retirement Planning, Risk Management, and Estate Planning. Covenant Advisory Group also has offices in Morganton and Forest City.
