Aeroflow Healthcare celebrated the opening of its branch at 3165 Sweeten Creek with a Ribbon Cutting Aug. 20. The Sweeten Creek corporate office, which replaced the facility at 856 Sweeten Creek Road, is one of six branches of Aeroflow Healthcare.

Palm Village - A Lilly Pulitzer Signature Store opened its doors in Biltmore Village on Thursday, August 19. The store features the Lilly Pulitzer line of clothing. Palm Village is located at 1 All Souls Crescent in Biltmore Village.

Rental Me This! celebrated their grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house on August 18th. Attendees were able to explore the rental store’s diverse inventory of outdoor recreation products, audio/visual equipment, and party games while owners Kate and James Trombley facilitated the fun.

A new Walmart opened on Wednesday, August 18, bringing 220 new jobs, savings for local shoppers and an increase in tax revenue to support the area’s economy. Nonprofit organizations also benefited from the retailer’s ongoing charitable contributions and support for community projects. The Walmart is located at 1636 Hendersonville Road.

Power Home Technologies of Asheville celebrated their 3rd year with the Asheville Area Chamber Commerce with a ribbon cutting. They also celebrated having completed in 1 month, over 1,000 new home/business security installs, which exceeded all company goals!

The Women’s Financial Empowerment Center will provide a women-centered approach, responding to women's unique needs and perspectives, to help them reach their financial goals.

Chef/owner Brian Canipelli and crew celebrated the opening of the Cucina 24 Deli, two doors down from his popular fine dining Italian restaurant, on August 5th. The Deli will be open Tuesday-Sunday 11 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and will offer sandwiches, a variety of sides and antipasti, local and imported specialty foods, imported meats and cheeses by the pound, and house made breads.

The non-profit, Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care celebrated the recent opening of its new South facility at 1833 Hendersonville Road on August 3, 2010. Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care - South, which replaced the facility at 1812 Hendersonville Road, is one of five Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care centers, caring for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, without an appointment, at a fraction of the time and cost of an ER visit.
