ClearPoint Marketing Communications Initiating Local Ad Club Formation

An organizational meeting for a new ad club affiliated with the American Advertising Federation (AAF) will be held on Wednesday, November 19, at 12:30 p.m. in the Asheville Merchants Corporation Boardroom in the Chamber Building, at 36 Montford Avenue. Attendees may bring a sack lunch if desired. The ad club is open to everyone in Western North Carolina who works in advertising, marketing, and related industry businesses, including creative agencies, advertising media representatives, corporate marketing and communications professionals, marketing consultants, printers, photographers, and others involved in the advertising industry. SCORE to Host "Your Business Plan" Seminar

According to the US Small Business Administration (SBA), businesses that do not have a business plan are four times more likely to fail than those with a written plan. The Asheville chapter of SCORE, Counselors to America’s Small Business, in partnership with A-B Tech’s Small Business Center, will present a seminar titled “Your Business Plan” on Saturday, November 22nd 2008 from 8:30am until noon in Room 128 in the Haynes Building on the A-B Tech Enka Campus.Cost is $30 at the door with substantial pre-registration and multi-seminar discounts available. Asheville Community Theatre will open Nuncrackers, the Nunsense Christmas

The nutty nuns are back! Asheville Community Theatre will open Nuncrackers, the Nunsense Christmas musical, on Friday, November 14th at 8:00 pm. Performances will run for three weekends through November 30, 2008 and are held on Friday and Saturday nights at 8:00 pm and Sunday afternoons at 2:30 pm. The Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa hosts The 16th annual National Gingerbread House Competition

The 16th annual National Gingerbread House Competition is scheduled for November 17, 2008 at The Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa, located in Asheville, North Carolina. For the second year, the Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa is partnering with downtown Asheville’s historic Grove Arcade to display the entries. Beginning November 18, the Arcade will display 35 houses to be selected by Royce Hughes and Aaron Morgan of The Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa. The Grove Arcade, one of Asheville’s architectural jewels, was envisioned by E.W. Grove, the creator of the Grove Park Inn.

Biltmore Baptist Churhc presents "Carolina Mountain Christmas Spectacular"

IT’S BACK!!!! After a one-year sabbatical, the EXALT Ministry of Biltmore Baptist Church will present “Carolina Mountain Christmas Spectacular”. This year’s program, “Find the Perfect Gift”, encompasses an all-new set design, “full scale broadway style” production, story line and music.  Performances will be given December 4-8 at 7 p.m., and matinees December 6 and December 7 at 3 p.m. Ticket prices are $10 for reserved seating and$17 for gold circle seating.
